I really love watching romantic movies , so for all those romantics out there, I have compiled a list of movies that I have enjoyed in the past. Here they are...
The Etruscan Smile (Rory's Way) is a dramatic emotional movie about a true Scotsman's life. The movie stars Brian Cox, Rosanna Arquette, J.J. Field, Thora Birch, Peter Coyote, and Treat Williams.
The Etruscan Smile (Rory's Way) is an emotional drama about a Scotsman named Rory MacNeil (played by Brian Cox). The movie is first set in the Scottish isolated Hebridean island and then we see Rory travel to San Francisco to seek medical treatment.
The movie is easy going but moving to watch. Rory moves in with his estranged son and wife who have a baby son. The story gets underway when we see Rory enjoying life in San Francisco along with enjoying getting to know his grandson where he finds a newfound love for him. It's a love like he has never experienced which makes Rory see life differently. Of course, Rory is ill and seeks medical attention whilst in San Francisco but he also finds a way to share his true love for the Scotsman he is and Rory's Gaelic language becomes an interest to a University in San Francisco.
I found this movie truly endearing to watch. If you are looking for a happy, emotional, dramatic storyline then The Etruscan Smile (Rory's Way) will make you smile and cry at the same time.
I rate this movie 7 out of 10. Rotten Tomatoes rates it 67% but don't let this fool you because the movie is very enjoyable.
You can get this movie on Amazon Prime.
