Evil Dead 2013 is a gory and intense horror movie with too many blood-filled moments in it.

I watched it the other night and was appalled at some of the things I saw.
Evil Dead was originally made in 1981 and last year, in 2013, they made another version of it. The new movie is much more horrific than the first one.
The story of Evil Dead 2013, is about
five friends who stay in a remote cabin out in the woods. Mia, who
has a drug related problem, has agreed to stay at the cabin with her
brother and friends to get her clean again. Of course, they discover
a book called the Book of the Dead in a secluded basement underneath
the cabin. Of course, one of them opens the book and becomes curious
about it. He, then, starts to read some of the names out aloud (and
it explains in the book, which I thought was so silly, not to read
these names out aloud...). Reading the names out aloud starts to
summon something evil living in the woods. Mia, because she is
having problems, is the first one to be attacked by this evil
presence and then, all hell breaks loose, as the evil becomes her.
Things start to go terribly wrong for all of them during this part of
the film.
I found Evil Dead 2013 gory and
sometimes sickening to watch, so it's not the sort of movie to watch
if you don't like seeing gory and horrifying scenes. For example, I
was horrified to see Mia slicing her own tongue in half with a blade,
because she was possessed by a demon. She didn't even know she was
doing it! The terrifying scenes did make the whole of this movie
intense. Another intense and gory moment was when I saw one of the
girls slicing her own arm off, which was grisly and nasty to watch
and too much blood for me.
Evil Dead 2013 is not for the faint-hearted or for children, so keep them away from this one. I can tell
you that I was left holding my hand over my mouth the entire time
throughout this movie, because of it's hardcore gory. The storyline
is, also, not that great either and is rather confusing at times. To
be honest, I preferred the first Evil Dead movie made in 1981.
So, watch it if you want, but be
prepared for some nastiness.
I rate Evil Dead 2013 6.5 out of 10.
