Saving Mr Banks is a true story about P. L. Travers, the author of the book “Mary Poppins.” It's a charming story about how Walt Disney (played by Tom Hanks) and P. L. Travers (played by Emma Thompson) get together to make the movie of “Mary Poppins.” For twenty years, Walt Disney has been trying to get P. L. Travers to let him turn Mary Poppins into a movie. Finally, she goes to Los Angeles, but she is not comfortable with his ideas.
