I thought Till Human Voices Wake Us was
an interesting story about a man called Sam (Guy Pearce) who
remembers his childhood days in Australia growing up with his father.
He remembers a girl called Silvy who he was friends with and had
drowned in a nearby river. When he returns to Australia, he suddenly
meets a woman called Ruby (Helen Bonham Carter), who he finds
drowning in the river. She reminds him of Silvy in many ways, but
Ruby is mysterious and so like Silvy that he gets caught up in
something very strange and weird.
I thought the movie was very spiritual,
because when Ruby comes out of the river, it is almost as if Silvy
has returned to the world as a grown woman looking like Ruby. If you
enjoy movies like this one, then you should watch Till Human Voices
Wake Us. I watched this movie on Netflix. It was made in 2003.
I though it was a light, gentle story
with a difference. Guy Pearce was very enjoyable to watch and he played his role with poise and talent. I think
he is superb actor too.
I rate Till Human Voices Wake Us 7 out
of 10.
